When you write for a website like this, you get people coming up to you all the time looking for help to plan their vacations. Last week it was my sister in law, Lisa, who is visiting London and has her heart set on staying in a hotel on Park Lane. I knew a few good deal hotels there that are a mix of luxury and affordability which is perfect for couples or families planning their vacation to London.
If you want to stay in the best Luxury Park Lane has to offer I would suggest either the COMO Metropolitan London or the Flemings Mayfair. Both of these are 5-star hotels unlikely to disappoint with nightly rates in the $200s at off peak times. Although if you wish to save a lot of money for just little less luxury there are many more options.
The Cumberland is an excellent hotel at reasonable prices and also allows pets if you want to bring your puppy along. There’s also a couple Holiday Inns nearby that are reliable accommodations at affordable prices, although you’re unlikely to be posting on facebook about the luxury of a Holiday Inn. They do typically have nice pools.
The cheapest lodging near Park Lane where you’re still likely to get clean rooms and working amenities is the Park Lane Mews Hotel which is actually quite lovely for the discount price and includes a free breakfast with certain rooms. It’s also very centrally located near Park Lane keeping you close to the action.
Park Lane is a great place to stay when you’re traveling to London as it is steeped in the history of the nouveau riche who first inhabited the area to take advantage of the nearby parks. It’s a great location for Families or even people traveling on business as it might be a little quieter than some of the further downtown London locations, but it’s still within easy access of public transportation to get you anywhere.
